On the one hand, we can listen three special concertos, by Vivaldi, by Hummel, and before all, the world premiere recording of Thibault Perrine's orchestration of Calace's Concerto No. 1. On the other hand, we can rediscover three famous arias as well as two pieces by Paganini: all of them evoke the world of the serenade. Like its far cousin the violin, the mandolin can sing beautiful emotions, especially when it is played by Julien Martineau, who is currently one of its greatest ambassadors.
