小提琴暨鋼琴合奏曲集 - 爵士
茱莉亞.伊戈尼娜 小提琴 葉梅里亞切夫 鋼琴 When the composer Sergey Akhunov discovered the ground-breaking book of 1947, "Jazz", by Henri Matisse – a collection of prints of his colourful cut-paper collages – he was struck by its almost surreal nature, and he conceived the idea of composing music with the title "Jazz", but which, like Matisse's book, has nothing to do with jazz. That inspiration finally took shape when Julia Igonina and Maxim Emelyanychev commissioned him to compose a work for them. The result was Jazz, a cycle for violin and piano: fifteen miniatures, bearing titles taken from the prints in Matisse's book. On this new recording, those pieces are brought together with two French masterpieces of the 1940s by Messiaen and Poulenc (whose favourite painter was Matisse), performed by Julia Igonina and Maxim Emelyanychev on period instruments – violin with gut strings and a magnificent 1908 Bluthner piano (part of the collection of the Piano Museum in Rybinsk). 1 (Jazz) Akhunov Lagoon I 02:15 2 (Jazz) Akhunov The Knife Thrower 02:03 3 (Jazz) Akhunov The Horse, the Rider and the Clown 03:48 4 (Jazz) Akhunov Forms 02:07 5 (Jazz) Akhunov Pierrot''s Funeral 05:51 6 (Jazz) Akhunov Toboggan 56 7 (Jazz) Akhunov Lagoon II 01:55 8 (Jazz) Akhunov The Nightmare of the Elephant 03:01 9 (Jazz) Akhunov Forms II 01:52 10 (Jazz) Akhunov The Swimmer in the Tank 03:34 11 (Jazz) Akhunov Destiny I 03:59 12 (Jazz) Akhunov Flight of Icarus 02:38 13 (Jazz) Akhunov Destiny II 02:17 14 (Jazz) Akhunov The Heart 03:23 15 (Jazz) Akhunov Lagoon III 02:20 16 Violin Sonata, FP 119 Poulenc I.
